The weather at Hafjell that day was both gorgeous, and cold I think the temperature said 10 below zero. For a girl who is easily cold (I am seated in front of a warm fire…as this post is being written)dragging out a camera, and taking photos can be quite a hassle. Plus taking enough photos is another story ….
All the points above are worth thinking about when you first choose to strap on a pair of skins, and do that first ascend either with your man/some girlfriends or by yourself.I first fell in love with this form of “hiking” when I got together with my soon to be husband , and have after many a afternoon spent outside after work, gotten to love it over time.
Gliding down a mountain through virgin powder with the sun glistening on surrounding snow covered peaks, all topped with a deep blue, clear sky, has got to be one of the most incredible feelings on earth…

On a bit of a side note: If you are in to reaching summits these skies teamed with some all mountain boots from Salomon, and you will have the time of your life.
Now I tend to drink plain water when I do, but can see how adding a few lemon slices, some fresh basil leafs, strawberries or blueberries can make it more inviting. And in turn make it easier to drink the suggested amount..
The cap protects from the sun like every other, but the thing I find the coolest is the gold logo on the black background. It can be worn both with jeans for school but also for hiking.
If I am truly honest with myself once I get to the gym I like being there, and I love everything from Cardio (running on the treadmill) to lifting weights..and seeing a shift in my body.I actually love getting sweat, and feeling tired in every way. It not only helps my mood, but it also helps me sleep better, my skin clears up, and overall I feel much better about myself..So why can I not do it for more then a few months? That is the thing I have to figure out.

Here is a post showing my thoughts on running, and why I am loving it these days. That will not change in the foreseeable future since I see results pretty fast, and already feel so much leaner.
